Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic® Sails Through Transitions Smoothly
The demand for RFB&D's recorded textbooks is growing rapidly, as more and more learning-disabled students discover them. In fact, the number of RFB&D borrowers has increased more than 50% in just four years. We are most grateful to our volunteers who donate time and talent to open the world of books to these students.
RFB&D has the nation's largest library of recorded academic texts. Our vision is for all people to have equal access to the printed word.
Volunteers donate an hour and a half a week or more toward the production of recorded textbooks by:
Marking books for readers
Reading textbooks
Directing recording sessions
Checking recordings for accuracy
Providing office support
Staffing the speakers bureau
