Record-A-Thon 2010

April 19-24, 2010

Record-A-Thon is an intensive (but fun!) weeklong event that occurs nationally throughout the organization in conjunction with National Volunteer Week.

The purpose of the Record-A-Thon is threefold:

  1. Increase the number of books our volunteers record in preparation for the anticipated student needs at the beginning of the fall school semester as well as add books to our library. RFB&D serves 237,298 members worldwide, circulating 533,938 titles in 2008.
  2. Increase awareness of RFB&D's services by spreading the word about our library of accessible texts and our educational outreach programs.
  3. Increase financial support to ensure the continuation of RFB&D's efforts.

We will be accepting donations of food (a sign-up sheet will be in the studio) as well as donations for the Chinese auction (please see the staff about this).

We thank all who have been a part of this annual event as we look toward the future and our vision - for all people to have equal access to the printed word.

Please return to this page, as more information and announcements will be added as we draw closer to Record-A-Thon 2010.
