PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, Roosevelt Elementary School's "Learning Through Listening" program has been the model for the Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, New Jersey Unit's outreach; and

WHEREAS, the students of Roosevelt Elementary School have received immeasurable benefit from the "Learning Through Listening" program; and

WHEREAS, many students have achieved outstanding academic success as a result of the "Learning Through Listening" program; and

WHEREAS, the Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, New Jersey Unit continued its commitment to the students of Roosevelt School by designating it as the pilot school for its new digital recorders' program; and

WHEREAS, Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, New Jersey Unit deserves the thanks and praise of the people of the City of New Brunswick for its work with our blind and learning disabilities.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JAMES M. CAHILL MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW BRUNSWICK, do hereby proclaim thanks and gratitude to

RECORDING FOR THE BLIND & DYSLEXIC,
NEW JERSEY UNIT

for their ongoing commitment to the blind and learning impaired students of Roosevelt School; and

FURTHER, call upon all the residents of the City of New Brunswick to join me in this declaration of thanks and praise for the outstanding service provided.
