From the RFB&D NJ Unit Recorder, Spring 2008:

"Stankard’s dyslexia wasn’t diagnosed until he was an adult. He says that up until then he had to be creative to 'learn how to persevere.' He believes, 'When you’re dyslexic you put out much more energy just to maintain a basic level.'

"That creativity has inspired his flame-worked floral motifs expressed in crystal paperweights, rectangular columns and orbs that have led him to be described as the greatest of the world’s glass artists. His work has won many awards, been seen in exhibitions all over the world and featured on HGTV’s “Modern Masters” and 'Martha Stewart’s Living.'"

Paul Stankard presented a slide show and discussed his life with dyslexia.
